Agnes Kamrowski

Agnes Odile Kamrowski, age 89 of Lake George, MN, formerly of Grafton, ND, peacefully entered eternity on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Bethany Nursing Home in Fargo with her loved ones at her side. Agnes was born on November 3, 1926 in Grafton, ND to George and Rachel (Pilon) Lessard. She grew into womanhood in the Oakwood, ND area where she attended school at the St. Aloysius Academy. On May 6, 1947 she was united in marriage to Harold Kamrowski in Oakwood. Their union was blessed with eleven children. Agnes devoted herself to making a loving home for her large family. She was a wonderful cook who loved to care for her husband and children. She was a longtime faithful member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Grafton, ND and later attended St. Theodores Catholic Church in Laporte, MN and St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Park Rapids. In 1978 Agnes and Harold retired to their lake home in Lake George, MN and enjoyed spending numerous winters at their home in Floral City, FL. Her life was forever changed by the death of her husband Harold in March of 2005. Agnes will be long remembered for her devotion to her husband, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by her eleven children: JoAnne (Gary) Altendorf of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Paulette (Greg) Giese of Lake George, MN, Ben Kamrowski of Lakewood CO, George Kamrowski, and Robert Kamrowski, Jan (Dan) Kramer all of Bemidji, MN David (Karen) Kamrowski of Fargo, ND, Nancy (Steve) Fulk of Park Rapids, MN, Sue (Frank) Demuth of Bemidji, Peggy (Karl) Paluga of Fruitland Park, FL and Jill (Jim) Katzenmeyer of Columbus, IN; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and one brother, Roman (Joyce) Lessard of Grafton, ND. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, and one brother Dan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Park Rapids, MN with Father Tom Friedl officiating. The Alleluia Choir will lead the mass music. Active casket-bearers will be: Ben Kamrowski, George Kamrowski, Robert Kamrowski, David Kamrowski, Frank Demuth and Gary Altendorf. Honorary casket-bearers will be all of Agnes’s Grandsons and the rest of her sons-in-law. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids with a Rosary Service scheduled for 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue again at the church on Wednesday beginning one hour prior to the service. Interment will be made at the Lake George Cemetery following lunch at the church.
