Cleo V. Sharp, age 86, a lifetime Park Rapids area resident, peacefully passed into eternal life on Monday, January 11, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Cleo was born on April 2, 1929 in Two Inlets Township of Becker County to Alfred and Ada (Anderson) Binley. As a small girl she moved with her family to Lake Emma Township, where she attended country school. She grew up helping on the family farm just north of Blue Lake and as a young woman gained employment at Itasca State Park. She was united in marriage to Harvey White in 1945 and they were blessed with five children. Cleo devoted her life to making a warm and loving home for her children. She was a wonderful cook and baker and will be long remembered for delicious homemade breads, cinnamon rolls and fry breads. In the early 1960’s Cleo was united in marriage to William Fell and they made their home in Arago Township north of Park Rapids. He preceded her in death very unexpectedly in 1985. This union was also blessed with five children. Cleo enjoyed spending her time quilting and made many beautiful quilts for all her children and grandchildren. In later years, she embroidered colorful art work on many pillow cases and towels for her loved ones. Cleo had a green thumb and loved to raise beautiful flowers and plants into colorful splendor. On April 25, 1997 she was married to Darrell Sharp. They continued making their home north of Park Rapids, where Cleo made her home for over forty years. She loved the outdoors especially when she could be fishing one of her secret honey fishing holes. Cleo enjoyed watching All-Star Wrestling and playing cards with her family and friends. Above all, Cleo dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she loved with all her heart. Cleo will be lovingly remembered by her seven children: Phyllis Zurn, Bill White and Jerry (Cheryl) White all of Park Rapids, Bob (Rose) Fell of Bemidji, Lorie (Gene) Brown and Richard Fell both of Park Rapids, Roger (Emily) Fell of Pillager, MN; twenty-three precious grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; three surviving brothers: Dacle (Charlene) Schmid, Jim Schmid and Leo (Lois) Schmid all of Park Rapids; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by three children: Thomas, Rozella and Anthony; one grandson, Raymond White; one brother, Calvin and two sisters: Maydene, Arlene, Sophia and Karen. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Church of Christ in Park Rapids with Pastor Scott Warne officiating. Special recorded music will be “Angels Among Us”, “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Drink a Beer”. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church.
