Colleen M. Conley

Colleen Marie Conley, age 58, of Menahga, MN passed away at Heritage Living Center in Park Rapids, MN on July 30, 2016 surrounded by her family and close friends.  She was born on March 8, 1958 in Buffalo, New York the daughter of Vincent & Lois (Rittenburg) Conley.  She married David Magaard in Denver, Colorado on March 17, 1979 and they later divorced.  After receiving her GED she joined the United States Air Force and honorably served her country.  She was always willing to help those in need, and she was a longtime supporter of many organizations which included, The National Foundation for Cancer Research, Disabled Veterans, American Red Cross Disaster Services and Emergency Assistance, Feeding America, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Sierra Club, Christian Appalachian project and the Wildlife Federation.  Colleen worked as a bookkeeper and later on as a waitress.  Those left to cherish her memory are her three children, Kelly, Erika, and David Hans, her two grandchildren, Elli Anna and Hans, her mother, Lois, two sisters, Pam and Cathy, and one brother, Danny.  She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and dear friends whom she touched throughout her life, including her longtime best friend and sister Tawnja Platz.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Karen, and her beloved longtime friend Richard Hoskins.  Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home with Rev. Loren Ferch officiating.
