Olga Teske

  Olga Teske May 11, 1937 – August 20, 2016       Olga Colacecchi Teske, age 79, of Walker, MN and formerly of Clinton, Kentucky passed away Saturday August 20, 2016 in her son’s home in Park Rapids where she has stayed during her short illness.  Olga was born on May 11, 1937 and spent her early years in the Chicago Heights, Illinois area.  She married James Langford on July 20, 1956 and that marriage was blessed with three sons.  She later married Kenneth Teske on February 2, 1974 and his three children became just like her own.  She was a true visionary and seemed to have great ideas that eventually the rest of the world caught up with.  In the early 1970’s her and her husband purchased an old gas station and remodeled it and put in a convenience store and they owned and operated that for several years.  She loved to sew and was known for dressing her concrete outdoor geese yard ornaments with clothing she made for each holiday and special occasion.  In 1979 she and her husband moved to Minnesota, and she worked for Ah Gwah Ching Nursing Home and was known as “the pizza lady” as she loved to cook and make pizza’s using her family’s old Sicilian recipes.  Her family was very important to her, and she loved traveling with them and especially going on fishing trips with them.  She was an avid gardener and loved tending to her flower and vegetable gardens.       She is survived by her sons, Thomas Langford (Tina) of Park Rapids, MN and John Teske of Grant Park, IL and daughters, Maurine Adams of Union City, TN., and Kristine Hudnall of Momence, IL., along with 13 grandchildren and her siblings, Rita Schroeder of Monee, IL., Anna Marie Noll of Illinois and Joe Colacecchi of Des Moines, IA.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, and 2 sons, Robert and James Langford.        Funeral Services are scheduled for 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, MN, with Reverend Scott Warne officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home, for three hours prior to the service.   Local arrangements and services are under the direction of the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home, Park Rapids, MN. A Graveside Service and Interment will take place at Pleasant View Memorial Gardens in Fulton, Kentucky immediately following the visitation under the direction of the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel/Jackson Funeral Home.
