Brian Lynn Jones

   Brian Lynn Jones, age 44, a long time Sebeka/Nimrod, MN resident, peacefully slipped into eternal glory where he was again reunited with his dad and for the first time in his life experienced no limits in all he did on Friday, November 18, 2016 at the CentraCare Medical Center in St. Cloud.     Brian was born on June 9, 1972 in Huron Lake, MN to Dale and Janice Jones.  As a small boy he moved with his family to Sebeka, MN where he attended the first grade.  Later that year, his family returned to Bingham Lake, MN where he completed the rest of his public education, graduating from the Windom High School with the class of 1992.  In 2003, Brian returned to Sebeka with his parents where they purchased a small farm between Sebeka and Nimrod.  Even though Brian had to endure a disability since his birth, he loved life and lived it fully.  He enjoyed the outdoors where he was his dad’s deer hunting and fishing companion whether on the ice or in a boat.  He loved to trap pocket gophers and enjoyed spending hours out on the riding lawnmower cutting the grass and keeping his family’s yard looking beautiful.  He also enjoyed riding in the family side by side four wheeler.  Brian loved camping with his family and sitting around the campfire telling stories.  He enjoyed working hard cutting firewood or building furniture.  Brian always enjoyed watching the birds, turkeys and deer from his favorite chair in the kitchen with a fresh cup of coffee to sip.  His life was deeply saddened by the sudden death of his father and partner in life in March of 2016.  Unfortunately his grief affected his own health negatively.  He had asked to be baptized and was just 20 minutes before his Lord and Savior took him home to heaven where he experienced instantaneous healing.    Brian will be long remembered by his mother, Janice Jones of Sebeka, MN and his sister, Julie (Daniel) Landwehr of Menahga; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.    He was preceded in death by his dad; both sets of grandparents; several aunts and uncles and two cousins.    Services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the Sebeka United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Koehne officiating.  His bearers will be Pat Jones, Byron Jones and the rest of his cousins.  Interment will be made in the Menahga City Cemetery.  Visitation will begin on Wednesday at noon at the church.  Following the service a lunch will be hosted by the church.  To leave on line condolences or to view the video tributes please visit www.cardinipearson.com
