LOIS ALVIRA JOHNSON October 5, 1922 – January 10, 2017 Lois Alvira Johnson, age 94, of Arden Hills, MN, formerly a long time Nevis, MN area resident, peacefully entered the glory of Heaven on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones at the Johanna Shores Senior Living Residence in Arden Hills. Lois was born on October 5, 1922 in Elk River, MN to Willard and Catherine (Clause) Ousley. As a child she moved with her family to Olivia, MN where she attended public school and grew into womanhood, graduating from the Olivia Public High School with the Class of 1940. On December 13, 1941, Lois was united in marriage to Chester Johnson. Their marriage was blessed with three sons: Steven. Stanley and Rodney. Lois devoted herself to making a loving home for her husband and sons. She was a wonderful cook and baker who will be long remembered for her delicious homemade meals. She was a very accomplished seamstress who sewed customized wedding dresses and business suits and did all types of alterations for her many loyal customers. She loved the outdoors and each spring looked forward to raising many beautiful flowers into colorful splendor for all to see and enjoy. She also enjoyed feeding and watching the many birds that graced their property. Lois was an exceptional artist who loved to paint and draw. Many years ago, Lois placed her trust and obedience in the redeeming grace of Jesus Christ. She was a devoted member of Faithbridge Church in Park Rapids for many years. She will be lovingly remembered by her three sons: Steven (Rene) Johnson of Moundsview, MN, Stanley (Gina) Johnson of Andover, MN and Rodney (Mona) Johnson of Moundsview; her nine dearly loved grandchildren and several precious great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and many friends. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chester who died in January of 1996; her brother, Gordon and sister, Lila.
