Aili Bohjanen

AILI ELEANOR BOHJANEN February 25, 1926 – May 7, 2016                   Aili Eleanor Bohjanen, age 91, a lifelong Menahga, MN area resident, peacefully passed into eternity on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Green Pine Acres Nursing Home in Menahga, MN.                  Aili was born on February 25, 1926 at the Wesley Hospital in Wadena, MN to Henry and Hilda (Wuollet) Hill.  She graduated from the Menahga Public High School with the Class of 1944.   Aili was united in marriage to Oswald Bohjanen on May 26, 1946.  This union was blessed with three sons: Ronald, David and Larry.  Aili devoted herself to making a warm and loving home for her family. In addition, for over 25 years she worked as an LPN at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Park Rapids.                 She is survived by her son, Larry (Karen) Bohjanen of Hibbing, MN; three grandchildren: Anna (Geoff) Erickson of Brookfield, WI, Jenny (Joshua) Hepokoski of Champlin, MN and Erik (Senja) Bohjanen of Corcoran, MN; 4 precious great grandchildren: Mikko and Sybil Bohjanen and twin boys: Jack and Ben Hepokoski; as well as several nieces, nephew, other relatives and many friends.                 Aili was preceded in death by her parents; her two sons: Ronald and David; her two brothers: Arnold and Edward and her sister, Mabel.                 Memorial services will be held 1 PM Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church in Menahga, MN with visitation beginning at noon.  The Cardini-Pearson Funeral Home of Menahga is entrusted with the arrangements.
